Patricia Ann (Ellis) Phetteplace, age 70, of St Petersburg, Florida passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 with family and love surrounding her. Patricia was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on May 4, 1951.
Pat was very active in many things. Pat was a member with the Ladies Oriental Shrine, North America, Tahuti Court # 44, and a Past High Priestess in 1993 - 94 and Daughters of the Nile – Elim Temple, # 76.
Pat was very talented and creative in many ways. She enjoyed teaching sewing and quilting and over the years created such elaborate outfits for her self and her mother, Velma Jean for the various performances during their memberships in the Ladies Oriental Shrine. Her latest endeavors and enjoyment was creating costumes, assisting Daniel and Katie with one of a kind costumes for Comic-Con and Metrocon conventions and also shared her knowledge in building vendor displays for Katie's amazing products.
Pat's talent did not stop at sewing, she enjoyed and created ceramic pieces and would give them as gifts for many occasions. She also was quite the cook....enjoying baking all kinds of yummy dishes and treats, especially around the holidays; everyone always went home with a special bag of goodies.
She always made her family and friends feel as though they were special and always wanted an update on the latest things happening in their life. She enjoyed teaching her grandsons to prepare food, cook and bake various recipes, and taught them all kinds of things that would prepare them for life. She enjoyed her time in the kitchen with her cute little nieces, baking and having their special "tea times" that they will always remember and cherish. She encouraged everyone to follow their dreams, always to think out of the box and the importance of being creative and individual.
Pat enjoyed her booth selling her wares at the infamous Wagon Wheel Flea Market and made lots of friends along the way.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Wessie L. (Gibson) and Jesse L. Gleaton; her parents, Velma Jean (Gleaton) and William Vaughn Ellis and beloved nephew, Walter Kay "Walt" Jamison, IV.
She is survived by her loving husband, who shared 30 years together and were married 27 years, Henry Phetteplace; her son, John Bruce Livingston, Jr. and daughter in law and beloved caregiver, Mandie; her siblings, brother, Robert Ellis; sisters, Jessie Ellis-Jamison (Walter Kay “Jay”, III), Debra Ellis-Abney (Rick), Tina Wood, Connie Thibodeaux (Sherman “Jake”); several grandchildren including Daniel (Katie) Livingston and Ryan Livingston; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews who loved her and her loving dog, Bruce.
We love her dearly and she is deeply missed. She will always be remembered. It's never goodbye, it's only bye for now...
