He was born to Antonio and Lumina Chabot in Sanford, Maine. There he helped run the family business: Sanford Allstar Dairy. He would later co-own the family dairy, as well as multiple locations of a small convenience store chain. Paul was extremely active in Kiwanis and served as Treasurer for many years. He was also the past President of Chamber of Commerce. Paul was known for coaching and umpiring baseball and softball little league teams over the years. When he wasn’t serving his community in various capacities, Paul enjoyed fishing, skiing, and playing cards (Cribbage was his favorite!), but Paul’s true passion was his beloved wife, Lorraine, and their family. He was a true family man and found happiness in the simple things.
Paul is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 54 years, Lorraine (Roux) Chabot, their children; Pamela (Chabot) LeBrun, and her husband Brian, Cynthia Chabot, Michael Chabot, and Anthony Chabot, his siblings; Lorraine Doyle, Andre Chabot, Richard Chabot and Roland Chabot, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Upon his wishes, the family will have private services at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association in Paul’s memory.
