HAEGER, Paul H., 89, of Largo, died June 17, 2013 at home. Paul was born in Chattanooga, TN. And moved to Miami at the age of three where he attended Edison High School. He joined the Navy and served in the Pacific Arena aboard the Sargent Bay CV during World War II. He graduated from The University of Miami as a mechanical engineer and began a 33.5 year career with General Electric. Most of that career was spent at the General Electric Neutron Devices Department in Largo, FL. Paul and his wife Beverly loved to travel and spent time on all seven continents. He was an active member of Anona United Methodist Church. Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Knowles and brother, John Haeger. He is survived by his sister Louise Luebke of Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Mincey of 23 years, children; Nicki (John) Romberger, Riverview, FL, Mark (Suphinya) Haeger, Hudson, FL, Linda (Lynn) Sordel ,Mill Creek, WA, and Scott (Debbie) Haeger, Ashville, NC; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday at Anona United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park at 4 pm with Military Honors. Memorial contributions are suggested in Paul’s memory to Anona United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund for Science and Engineering.
