

Philip was born on February 7, 1935 in Peoria, Illinois, to John and Charlotte Dallam Moldenhauer and graduated from Peoria Woodruff High School in 1935. He married AnnaMae Archdale in 1963 and worked as a design engineer for Caterpillar for many years until retirement. He lived in Peoria until relocating to Florida in 2022.
He was a longtime honorary member of the National FAA of Oshkosh. In his later years, Philip was active in the Jayco RV Club and enjoyed traveling the world with his friend Phyllis (Kay) Jones, his companion of 18 years prior to death. His passion was woodcarving, and Philip was always busy creating projects and carving items for family and friends. He also served as a volunteer at Pinellas County Heritage Village.
He was preceded in death by his wife AnnaMae and one nephew, Bradley Quin (Elaine). Survivors include one nephew, Dr. Gregory Quin of Peru, Indiana, and four nieces: Marti Wood of Alpharetta, Georgia, Patricia Watts (Kerwood) of Rockton, Illinois, Candice Ross-Aschettino (Carmen) of Highlands, New Jersey, and Cynthia Showalter (Thomas) of Largo.
Burial arrangements will be handled by Serenity Funeral Home of Largo and Davison-Fulton of Peoria with final interment at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
