Richard always warmly greeted everyone as they arrived at Crystal Lakes Manor, Meals on Wheels, and Senior Cafe site. "Good morning! I'm just tickled to see ya!"

Richard was the first person to welcome my Mom to the neighborly care network 8 years ago. 
She would come home from her lunch visits and talk about “Richard” she really loved going because of him!
I got to know him better after my Mom passed two years ago and i started volunteering because of him.  
Richard was the light at CLM , I am going to miss seeing his smiling face when walking through the door.

Richard  was the nicest person at  "Meals on Wheels" at Crystal Lake Manor.  He always greeted you like you belonged there.  Not everyone there was as enthusiastic as Richard was.  When Richard asked you to help him, I was glad to it.  I am going to miss Richard and his smiling face and his wonderful voice and his handshakes.

To the family: We are extremely sadden by this transition. Richard  was a very sincere  hard working and dedicated  co worker..Our prayers  are with the entire family and God's  blessings  upon you all.. From Skip & Mary Meals on wheels..Sunshine Center..He will truly be missed but we're  thankful for the years that we shared..

I met Richard while serving as one of the delivery drivers.  I would like to extend my condolences on his passing.  I am truly saddened.  
Richard made me feel so welcome and appreciated every Monday I went in to do deliveries.  I didn’t know him well.  But he was the kind of person that went out of his way to make others feel good. I always enjoyed seeing him and hearing his very genuine and charming words.  He will be greatly missed ❤️

Richard was a very kind soul. Always greeting you with a pleasant hello and a thank you for all you do after we delivered meals. He will truly be missed but the impression left upon our hearts will remain. 


We will miss you Richard. You always had a smile and kind word for everyone.
 Richard would greet the MOW volunteers by name and sometimes a cute little nickname he assigned to many of us. He was always positive with his comments and conversations. We appreciate all he did for us.

My thoughts with Richard's family and all who knew him. I volunteer at Crystal Lake and Richard was a truly kind man who always took a moment to say hello, or talk biz, and was always smiling.  He inspired me.

I worked with Richard at meals on wheels. He was such a caring kind hearted person. Always giving me such great advice on all subjects of life. He will definitely be missed. Sending my deepest condolences to his family and closest friends.

One summer when Emily and I were visiting our grandparents, Andy took us to Chuck E Cheese. Afterwards, we went to a diner for lunch. Emily and I sat on one side of the table Andy on the other.  He asked us our thoughts and was completely captivated by what we had to say. 
Then, he showed us some magic tricks. There’s this one where he laid a straw lengthwise with the table and put a dab of salt on each of his pointer fingers. With his fingers about 1/2 inch away from the straw, he moved his hands slowly towards us…. And the straw moved, in time with his hands !  I was mesmerized!
It was only later that he told me he had blown on the straw. 
I shared with him that memory a couple of weeks ago.  He laughed a delightful chuckle and said, “ oh, you remember that?”
