As we approach the 9th anniversary of Rick's death and our heartbreaking loss, please know that I still, as always since we met, love and miss him.

I think about him everyday and miss his charm, love, humor, friendship & company.

Blessings to the family. And to Rick, know that you are Always Loved and Never Forgotten.

Will meet you again in Heaven when God makes it happen. As we always said, everything is in His time.

It has been over a year since the loss of my beloved Rick.  Not a moment goes by that I don't think about him, miss him, and cherish the time that we were given to share with one another.
He will forever have a special place in my heart.  I fondly remember his beautiful smile, sparkling brown eyes, sense of humor, and his warmth and sensitivity.  These things I miss so much, for he was my best friend and companion, with a heart of gold!  
I look forward to the day that I see you again in Heaven, my Sweet Ricky.
Until then, I will hold the memories of our time together deeply in my heart and soul.

One of Rick's amazing qualities was the ability to see things and people for what and who they truly were. Rick was not one to rose color anything nor did he try; a quality I very much admired about him. Over the years this quality along with Rick's big heart made a huge impact on my life. Rick always said what he meant, meant what he said, and said it often. Rick's phone conversations always ended with "I love you Mom and tell Dad (Dennis) I love him too"; words I heard him say a least a dozen times during my most recent visit to Florida. The same words which brought comfort to me over the years when they were relayed, "Rick said to tell you he loves you". Susan you raised a son who loved you, respected you, and above all thought you hung the moon; the same attributes you gave him unconditionally his entire life. And Dennis, you took a young man lacking a male role model in his life and taught him all the qualities a single Mom struggles to instill in her son. You taught him how discipline makes a better man, how structure keeps you grounded and how a loving family unit can always be counted on, no matter what. Susan and Dennis with all the struggles life brings, good and bad choices we all make and the challenges we must overcome; you gave Rick everything he ever needed. To hear and see a young man respect, honor and love his parents the way Rick loved the both of you, is something to be admired. And for me, every time I hear a young man say, "I love you" to his parents; for a brief split second, I will think of Rick. And finally, the words Rick would relay to me that brought me comfort are the words I hope bring comfort to, "Tracey said to tell you she loves you".

I am very sorry about the suffering and passing of Rick.  He was a companion to my sister, Rhonda, for many years, and I know they spent many happy moments together.  She will sorely miss him, and I know a part of him will remain in her always.  He has returned to a place where all of us will one day go and reunite with the ones we love. God bless his soul.

Just a few more words from my heart to you, my beloved Rick, 

Though words cannot express my sorrow, and the emptiness I feel in my heart since your departure, I am truly grateful that our paths crossed and for the time we were able to spend together.  Sharing part of my life with you was a special chapter that I will always remember with fondness.

You were taken from us far too soon, but I am comforted knowing that you are in Paradise with God and his Angels, and resting in eternal peace.

We who are left behind will never forget you and will always love you.

Susie and Dennis, It is hard to put into words how you both must feel with the loss of your son Rick.Looking back when you were living in Massachusetts I remember Ricky being such a sweet little guy about two or three. Then you all moved to Florida, and began a happy new chapter to your lives. I remember how much Dennis loved him as is own son and RickY loved Dennis as his own father they were very close. You and Dennis will hold on to so many wonderful times together as a family.  Ricky will be missed.. God be with you both..Love Elizabeth

Dear Rick, 

If we could have one more conversation with you, what would it be like?  It would most likely be as many others:  a brief update about how you're feeling and on to sports, mostly golf--how you'd come down to our place for a round of golf and convince me to become a Rays fan.  You would call near dinnertime and share what you'd be cooking for Rhonda telling us not only how much you enjoyed cooking but also how it was a way to show how much you cared for her, not to mention reminding us you were a great cook. You would talk "soup" -- homemade by you to bring to a nearby soup kitchen for those less fortunate. You would enjoy telling us about your work with the airlines and you would continue to mesmerize us with your knowledge, skill and ability working in this position. You would speak with such ease about how you would calculate airline passenger and cargo load with fuel sufficient to conquer the winds, temperature, vector headings, etc. that it blew our minds. And to then turn around and retrain in the field of medicine to fulfill a dream to help others makes us extremely proud of you. You would share your excitement looking forward to this new adventure, and we were so happy with you. We might touch on the latest news of the day and then when it seems like our conversation is over, you would very seamlessly drift into your favorite topic -- reminiscing about days gone by -- and what an incredible memory you had. You would remember the time out in Cape Cod Bay when you caught two bluefish that weighed as much as you did on one hook! You would also look back to the many fun activities we enjoyed together at the Cape -- daily wiffeball, horseshoes, darts, and hi, lo, jack after dinner. You would never tire of these family reflections along with many others.  And neither did we. 
 
And so now here we are -- a final conversation....one sided. How can it be that it is we who are left with but our precious memories reminiscing about you rather than reminiscing with you. Our hearts are filled with such deep sadness. We can only take consolation knowing you are safe with the Lord.  There are no words that can ever tell you how much we miss you and always will. Memories of you will forever be treasured. May your soul rest in peace and until we meet again, using your own conversation parting words:  We love you always, Rick, and God Bless......

Rick, you were my best friend, confidante, soul-mate, and so much more...We shared good and bad times, but we were always there for one another.  I will miss your beautiful smile & presence, and your unique sense of humor.  You will forever be a part of me, and I will always cherish the memories of the times we shared together. I was priveleged to become a friend of Rick's several years ago in Placida Fl. Rick rented an apartment @ my home on the bay .  We had many opportunities to visit  and always found him to be such a pleasant young man to have at my home.  Though we haven't been in contact for several years. I always think of him with fond memories
