Richard Ingle Tetrick

Richard Ingle Tetrick, 83, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on August 30, 2026, in Clearwater, Florida. Rick was born on October 3, 1942, in Evansville, Indiana to Ingle and Mildred Tetrick. Rick graduated from Bosse High School in Evansville, Indiana. He started his college career at Purdue University, leaving Purdue to get married. Rick received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Evansville by going to night school while working a full-time job.

He married Edna Mae Garrett on August 25, 1962, until her passing on June 25, 1997. He married Sharon “Sherrie” Elizabeth Morton on May 27, 2006, until her passing on May 14, 2016. He and Anne Reynolds have been a couple since April 2018, getting married on April 1, 2022.

He is survived by:

Wife, Anne Reynolds; Son, Allen Tetrick and wife Tonya (Brewer) Tetrick of Springdale, Arkansas; Son, James Tetrick and wife Karen (Jones) Tetrick “deceased” of Marion, Iowa; Son-in-law John “Jack” Reynolds Jr. and wife Sharon Reynolds of Clearwater, Florida; Grandchildren, Matthew Tetrick and wife Lizzie (Boone) Tetrick of Springdale, Arkansas; Mary (Tetrick) Mahan and husband Sean Mahan of Golden, Colorado; Alex Tetrick of Marion, Iowa and four great grandchildren: Alyss Tetrick, James Tetrick, Abigail Mahan and Thomas Mahan.

Rick worked as an accountant with General Tire and Rubber Company for 24 years. He also worked as an accountant for companies in Illinois and Michigan raising to the level of Chief Financial Officer. He also owned and managed three Mrs. Fields Cookie Stores in Michigan until retiring to Florida in the early 2000’s. He had a passion for music and art and a somewhat hidden talent for drawing. He enjoyed boating, having his own sailboat for many years and joining the Clearwater Yacht Club. He supported TFONSA by serving as the treasurer. Rick enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He LOVED a good party!

Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, September 20th at the Clearwater Yacht Club with Allen Tetrick officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Florida Orchestra.
