Roger was born in Richmond, Virginia son to the late Richard Neal Sr. and Ruth Rule Tredway. He spent a significant part of his life as a cherished resident of Belpre, Ohio. He was a proud graduate of Belpre High School and pursued higher education at Ohio University. Throughout his career, Roger wore many hats, including serving as a dedicated US postal worker, salesman for Commerce Clearing House and Auto Trader Publishing.
His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life. Roger was an esteemed Army veteran, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to his country. Additionally, he was a 60-year Master Mason and an active member of the Belpre Masonic Lodge #609, where he found camaraderie and lifelong friendships.
Roger's enduring legacy is not only defined by his professional achievements and military service but also by the love and connections he formed throughout his life. He was proceeded in death by his sister Carolyn Tredway Miller of Belpre, Oh. He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Sally (maiden name Leavitt); his sons, Randy (Teresa) and Mark Tredway of Largo, Florida; and his brother, Richard "Dick" Tredway Jr. of Belpre, Ohio.
Roger was a beacon of light in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. He possessed a remarkable ability to bring smiles and laughter to everyone he met. A helpful and caring neighbor, he was always there when needed, earning the admiration and gratitude of those around him. Roger's warm-heartedness and sociable nature made him a cherished friend to many and a true American patriot, embodying the values of his nation with pride.
