Roland Carter Flinton

96 of Largo, FL passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 in Largo Medical Center. Roland was born on April 4, 1916 in Augusta, Maine. He moved to this area in 1999 coming from Selbyville, Delaware. Roland retired from the United States Army as a Colonel. He was a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion both in Havre de Grace, Maryland, the Masonic Lodge in Frederick, Maryland and was a Shriner and a member of the Egypt Temple of Tampa and a WWII Veteran. Roland was predeceased by his loving wife Florence on March 22, 2012. Surviving is a daughter Patricia Little of Pinellas Park, FL and a son Arthur Edward Flinton of Orem, UT along with five grandchildren Deborah Ann Little- Jarvis of Aberdeen, Maryland, Jeffrey Brian Little of Rising Sun, Maryland, Anthony Arthur Flinton of Orlando, Florida, Kevin Edward Flinton of Grantsville, Utah and Amy Sylke Flinton Inniss of Hollywood, Florida and 12 great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be offered to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 12502 North Pine Drive, Tampa, Florida 33612.
