Ruby Mae Kavula

KAVULA, Ruby Mae, 92 of Largo, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Regal Palms Assisted Living Facility. Ruby was born April 27, 1924 in Shadyside, Ohio to the late George and Ruby Mae (McCracken) Maupin. She moved to this area in 1973, coming from Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John Paul Kavula in 1973 along with her siblings Carol, Bob and Evelyn. Ruby is survived by her children John (Patricia) Kavula of Clearwater, Ron (Terry) Kavula of Odessa, and Cheryl (Don) Lew of Belleair; along with five grandchildren, Bonnie (Kevin) Gerhart, Trina (Elier) Rodriguez, Brian (Natalie) Kavula, Jenna (Gerald) Durst and Averi Lew; two great-grandchildren, Allegra and Lorien Durst; her brother, Jack (Cindy) Maupin of Lexington, North Carolina; sister Betty Carpenter of Warren, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be offered to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation. Memorial Services will be Sunday, April 30, 2017, 7 pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2000 Trotter Road, Largo, Florida 33774.
