McCloud, Ruth Pollock, 99, of Belleair Beach, FL, died May 26, 2012. Ruth was born in St. Louis, MO where she grew up in Webster Groves, attended Webster Groves High School where she was class officer, Rohr queen, was on the basketball team and a pool high diver. Ruth was a graduate of SMU, Dallas, TX (AB), Sweetheart of SMU, KKG women’s fraternity and taught at the elementary school level. She married Marmaduke David McCloud in Dallas, TX in April 1938. She and her husband moved to St. Paul, MN where they raised their family and she was a member of the Junior League, PEO Women’s organization (president of local chapter), KKG alumnae and Presbyterian church women’s organization. Ruth enjoyed golf, bowling, tennis and gardening. She was an artist in oil and acrylic paintings. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, M. David McCloud (1981); sister, Blanch Miller; brothers, Douglas Pollock and Jack Pollock. She is survived by her sons, Douglas P McCloud, Belleair Beach and Duke D. McCloud, Washington, D.C.; grandson, Scott D., Vienna, Austria and Mark L., New York City and great grandson, Jasper B., Vienna, Austria.
