I'm giving you a tight shelley hug right now Mike and Jake and Ashleigh and Matt and the grandkids

Her smile and her laugh, I swear I thought I was the funniest person because Shelley always laughed at my jokes and stories! It's just who Shelley was, a wonderful, kind, loving soul who made everyone feel they were special!

And this photo of you two is how I will remember her, always smiling!

Until we see each other again, I know heaven just gained the best laugh ever xoxo

I have known Shelley since she was a baby. Had family get togethers in Milwaukee as kids. She was a wonderful person, so kind and caring. She will be missed. So sorry for your loss.

Shelly was a joy to work with. She pulled my name for a Secret Santa one year and she became my "Facebook stalker" to find out ideas on what I would love. She printed out photos that meant so much to me and put them in a special photo frame. She also added personalized stuff. I cried because she took the time, effort and cared so much.

When we first met we didn't know we knew someone in common, her brother Fred lived next door to me for many years. Him and I would hang out at his place and mine. After she found out where I lived she realized I knew Fred and his boys, we talked about how she always worried about her nephews (Fred's boys) and Fred.

She was the most loving and caring person. She will always be missed.

I had the pleasure to work with Shelley at Ambulance Billing, Pinellas County Government. Just like the comments say, Shelley had an amazing smile, innate good nature and genuine sweetness. Shelley talked a lot about her husband Mike, her kids and her Grandchildren when we had the chance to 'catch up'. My heart goes out to Shelley's family and I pray in time the hurt is replaced by the wonderful memories and legacy Shelley leaves behind. I know the impression Shelley made on me and because the legacy she leaves behind, this world is a better place. God Bless!

I will forever remember Shelley with a huge smile on her face. She was so many things to many people; she was a Wife, a Mother, a Grandmother, a follower of Christ, a Friend, an ear to listen. But most of all, she was the physical embodiment of Love.

I met Shelley when I was a Junior in High School. And from the beginning it was easy to see that she was a Mother not only to her kids, but to the neighbor kids as well. Always making sure you went home with a full belly and warm hugs, and a coupon for that thing she knew you liked.
Even at her angriest or most annoyed, she was such a gentle soul that it was only an eye roll, a "tsk" or a gasp.

But the 2 memories that stand out the most for me are these: the night Jake proposed, and the night I had a roach in my ear.

Apparently the whole family knew he was going to ask me. I had a feeling it was going to happen, and don't remember being overly emotional when he asked. But it was walking into Marlene's house afterwards that did me in. The door swung out, and standing there was Shelley, Nancy, and Marlene, all grinning ear to ear; none more so than Shelley. With tears glittering in her eyes and a smile wide enough to split your lip, she embraced me.

Three years into our marriage, I stayed in Florida for 6+months to take care of my parent's house while they were on the Appalachian Trail. One night I woke with a roach in my ear, and called Jake, back in VA, frantic. When the entire ordeal was over, roach safely removed, Shelley came over at midnight and stayed with me until 2am. I really needed a Mom in that moment, and she was there for me--no questions asked.

Our hearts are heavy, but I hope we can all find comfort knowing that she was an amazing human, and now an even more blessed and amazing Angel.

Shelley will be greatly missed. She was so kind, giving, and fiercely loved her family. She was so proud of her husband, children, and grandchildren. I am so sad she has moved to heaven, she was and now will forever be an angel.
