Sherry was always proud of her Native American heritage from the Eastern Band Cherokees.
She grew a beautiful butterfly garden from a patch of sand. Friends have gathered around the table in the Magic Garden often.
Dr. Sherry E. Showalter, Ph.D., LCSW, BCD, M.Msc. was a national and international keynote speaker, an author of four books, a respected Psychotherapist, and faithfully worked for many years with Hospice providing psyco-social services and grief therapy.
Sherry was a First Responder on 9/11 at the Pentagon in Arlington, Va.
She is survived by her dedicated wife, Bunny (Dorothy) Brown; her Mother, Dot; cousins, Tony and Angie; her godson, Kamryn; her Granddaughter, Olivia; and her special Angels, Joan, Osh, Mitch and Laura, Kevin, John and Kelly 2Wolves.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Sherry's honor on January 7th, 2023 from 11am-2pm. A butterfly release will take place at 1:45pm. Bunny asks that all attendees wear their brightest attire to exalt such a special soul.
