Sherwin W Smith, age 79 of St. Petersburg FL died August 12, 2011 at Largo Medical Center in Largo FL. He was born in Jacksonville IL and has been a resident of Florida since 1977 coming from Binghamton NY. While a resident of Florida he was employed for 10 years as a bus driver for First Class Charter Bus Service of St. Petersburg, and for the past 10 years by Endeavor Catamaran Corp of Largo. Mr. Smith was a US Air Force veteran and was a member of American Legion Post 14 of St. Petersburg. He is survived by his wife Judith Smith, son Stephen Smith (Connie), daughters; Linda Corser (Frank), Susan Thornburg (Michael), and Gladys Ann Rosa (Greg). Mr. Smith is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife Margaret, son James and daughter Elizabeth Ann Smith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 18th at 11 am at Moss Feaster Funeral Home 13401 Indian Rocks Road Largo FL, (727) 562-2080. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. Visitation hours are scheduled for Thursday from 9 am to 11 am at the funeral home.
