He was born on January 21, 1949 in Fort Myers, FL to Amos & Charlotte Jackson. Steve graduated from Santa Fe Catholic High School and received a Bachelor’s of Science Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
He was a proud Marine, served in the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion, Post 273. Steve enjoyed fishing, cruising, traveling, scuba diving and making memories with family and friends.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Tonia Tucker Jackson; two sons, Stephen Justin Jackson, Jr. (Lynne Jackson), Jason Justin Jackson (Anne Bouwman-Jackson).
Four grandchildren, Taylor Jackson, Rachel Merica, Conner Jackson and Emalie Jackson. Two great-grandchildren, Piper Jackson and Kolson Jackson. Niece, Katrina Davis, great-nephew, Nickolas Davis, great-niece, Kaija Davis and great-great-niece Adalaya Davis, all of which will sadly miss him.
A public viewing will be held at 4pm on November 12 at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774. Celebration of Life service to immediately follow at 5pm.
