Steven Anthony Leach “Steve” of Largo, Florida passed away at Morton Plant Hospital on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the age of 64. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 1, 1956. Steve is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kim (nee Zimmerman) Leach; Four children: Nikki (Brian Petrich) Leach of Largo, FL, Brandi (David) Bell of High Ridge, MO, Ryan (Nicole Fresta) Leach of St. Petersburg, FL and Jessica (Will Eveland) Leach of St. Petersburg, FL; mother Jeanette “Bunny” (Harold) Gormly of Gulfport, FL, stepmother Mazie Leach of Iberia, MO, brother, Joe Leach of South Pasadena, FL, sister, Stacie (Todd) Howk of Iberia, MO, brother Shane Leach of St. Louis, MO, two grandchildren, Ethan and Hazel Petrich and many cousins and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Jack Leach of Iberia, MO and brother Bob Sauer of Villa Park, IL.
Steve spent most of his career as a painting contractor and most recently owned Masterguard Painting, LLC. He loved cooking his famous barbecue pork steaks and baked beans, had a passion for NASCAR and INDY car racing, watching Tampa Bay Rays and St. Louis Cardinals baseball and spending time with his family.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Sunday, August 1, 2021 with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 12:30 p.m.
