Susan A Eakes

Susan was born on December 8, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Edwin and Mildred Anderegg. She graduated from Coral Gables High School before going on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Florida and later a Master's Degree from Georgia State University.

Susan dedicated 40 years of her life to education, serving as both a teacher and a counselor. Her commitment to the growth and well-being of others was a defining thread throughout her life — one that extended far beyond the classroom. She had a deep love for animals, a keen eye for antiques, and a joy for shopping and travel that took her to new places and brought her lasting happiness. Above all, Susan had a heart for people and a natural gift for making those around her feel seen and cared for.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Ryan Eakes; her daughter-in-law, Holly Joy Eakes; and her beloved grandchildren, Isla Joy Eakes and Easton Cole Eakes.

Susan will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, her spirit, and her love leave a lasting impression on the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched.
