Durkin, Teresa K. of Largo died Friday March 30th at home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 10, 1953 in New York, NY she was the daughter of John J. and Teresa McGloin Durkin. Teresa was a Speech Language Pathologist for the Pinellas County School District retiring in March of 2011. She was a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and St. Cecilia’s Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, photography, jewelry making and training her beloved Airedale, Molly. Teresa loved associating with friends, family and colleagues. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Michael Kemp of Largo whom she married May 26, 1979, step-daughter Lila Pettyjohn of Fayetteville, Arkansas, two sisters Ann (Al) Vickers of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Jackie (Dan) Morgan of Farmington, Connecticut, nieces and nephews Christine Tucker, Andrew Vickers and Haley Morgan. A memorial service will be 10am Monday April 9th at St. Cecilia’s Church. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Suncoast Hospice or the American Cancer Society
