Theresa Diane Haverkamp

She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on February 26, 1950 to Ila May and Warner H. Marschand, Jr. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Scott (Peggy) and Daniel Marschand and is survived by her brother Kerry (Lynn) Marschand (Brownsburg, Indiana), Matthew (Donna) Marschand, (Fort Wayne, Indiana) Jennifer (Bryan) Marschand-Haney (Beverly, Illinois), and Cassandra (Anthony) Marschand-Michael, nieces and nephews.

Theresa attended South side H.S. In Fort Wayne, Indiana, John Brown University Siloam Springs Arkansas, and Indiana State University, Terre Haute, where she earned a Master’s Degree. She lived in Terre Haute where she taught special-ed and later, was a high-school guidance counselor where she was loved by students and coworkers.

Theresa loved God and had a life of volunteering in her community at various organizations and singing in church choirs. She was actively involved in community theaters and acted in numerous productions. After retirement, she moved to Bellair Beach, Florida where she remained active in her church and community. Theresa loved to travel, sail boats, garden, volunteer, meet people, (she NEVER met a stranger) and was an avid bargain-hunter and “garage-saler”.

She will be deeply missed by family and friends. In leu of flowers, donations in Theresa’s name can be made to Anona Methodist Church, John Brown University, Indiana State University, or a charity of your choice.

A celebration of life for Theresa will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Anona United Methodist Church, 13233 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774.
