Thomas W O'Bryant Sr.

As a young child, Tom helped his parents run their general store and gas station. Tom’s mom became sick with cancer so his father sold everything to help with his wife’s expenses.

Tom joined the Navy in 1957 where he served on the USS Des Moines and toured the Eastern Atlantic all through Europe and became a skilled electrician. He was discharged in 1960 and moved to St Petersburg, FL.

Tom retired from General Electric Neutron Devices of Largo.

He was always willing to help friends in need. A staunch Alabama fan “Roll Tide” and an excellent friend and neighbor.

Surviving is his wife of twenty five years, Faye I. O’Bryant, his son Travis Harmon O’Bryant, daughter Sherrie Lynn Schwersky, step son Rex Wiseley, seven grandchildren Samantha O’Bryant, Jordyn Schwersky, Jonah Schwersky, Shelby O’Bryant, Shalor O’Bryant, Brooke Wiseley and Elyse Wiseley, brother John O’Bryant, his former wife and mother of his children Lucille Westbrook and his special companion Lani the dog.

He was predeceased by a son Thomas O’Bryant, Jr. and six sisters Madge Barber, Sally Pepper, Geri Barnes, Jane Payton, JoAnn Bentley and Becky Steele.

Memorial contributions may be offered to the Hospice Foundation of the Florida Suncoast, First Christian Church of Seminole or a charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 12:30pm at the First Christian Church of Seminole, 13272 Park Blvd N, Seminole, FL.
