Virginia Theresa Serra

Serra, Virginia Theresa “Ginny”, 76, of Largo, FL was called to Heaven on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2010. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joe Sr. and their 4 sons, Tom (Janet) Serra of Glen Burnie MD, Joe Jr. (Susan) Serra of Largo, Paul Serra of Laurence Harbor NJ, Dan (Heather) of Plano TX, Skipper (her cat) of Largo, along with 11 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Mildred Petrucelli of Seminole, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Rose Paglia and 3 sisters, Rita, Francis and Eleanor. She was born in Avon, MA and moved to Tampa Bay in 1950. After retiring from Montgomery Ward in Pinellas Park, Ginny dedicated all of her time and energy to family and friends. Her joy came from having as many family members and friends around her as she could as often as possible. She loved to cook and entertain at family gatherings and most recently, watch Tampa Bay Rays games. She will be forever remembered and loved by all who have had the honor to call her wife, mom, grandma, nana, aunt and friend. Her life will be celebrated with visitation, Tuesday, September 7th from 6-8PM at Moss-Feaster Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, September 8th at 11:30AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd., Largo.
