SUMMERS, William, 87 of Largo, FL passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015. Bill was born on September 3, 1928 in Van, Pennsylvania to the late William H & Greta (Weaver) Summers. He moved to this area in 1959 coming from Pennsylvania, Bill served in the US Army during the Korean War and was with the 187th Airborne Division. He spent 47 years in the Largo Lions Club and served as President during 1974 and 1975. Bill is survived by his loving wife Joyce Summers of Largo and a daughter Debra Eslick of Largo along with two grandchildren Chris Eslick and Rebecca Eslick and three great granddaughters Ciara, Erin & Kendall. Also surviving is a sister Donna Johns of Cranberry, PA along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Lori Summers along with two sisters. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be offered to the Largo Lions Club. Graveside Services will be held at a later date at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
