Zana was the beloved wife of Stephen Allen Rummell. For 35 years, they built a close-knit life together. Stephen embraced Zana’s daughters as his own, and together they created a loving family that remained the center of Zana’s world.
She worked for the Bay Pines V.A., where she was dedicated to her role in housekeeping and laundry. Zana was known for her strong work ethic and quiet devotion to caring for others.
Above all, Zana was passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen Rummell; her daughters, Virginia Mitchell and Zana Schneider; her grandchildren, Whitney Abramas, Ashley Schneider, Michael Schneider, Hope Schneider, Savannaa Schneider, Giovanni Lacorte, and Anthony Mitchell; and her siblings, Ellen T. Williams, Aubrey Bryant, and Eugene Bryant.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home.
Zana will be remembered for her love, dedication to family, and the warmth she shared with those around her.
