

Adolfo “Ompong” or "Adol" Lizaso, age 82, was born in the strikingly beautiful island of Baras, Catanduanes, Philippines in the year 1936. He was the second born out of five children of Juan and Juana Lizaso. He attended primary and secondary public schools in his hometown. He left for Manila to attend college where after graduation he married the love of his life, Esteves Tating, in 1963.
Adolfo graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from FEATI University, Philippines. His first challenging job was as a Supervising Civil Engineer in the Department of Public Works and Highways in Legazpi City, Philippines. Since then, he worked on various engineering projects and facilities overseas from the 1970s until the 2000s.
He moved to The Bronx, New York City as his second home before relocating to Las Vegas, where he passed away peacefully on June 30, 2019 at home with his family by his side after a long bravely fought battle against various illnesses.
Adolfo was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend. He was viewed by others as generous and tolerant spirit with a kind heart who brought out the positive aspects in the people around him. He loved good food, enjoyed playing tennis with his friends, liked planning vacation trips and visiting new places, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. His unwavering faith in God and good moral compass was one of his greatest strengths.
Adolfo was a lover of animals and one of his favorite pets was the family dog, Coco. His best way to exercise was walking with the dogs in the backyard. He was also a die-hard fan of sports especially boxing and never missed a fight with his favorite boxer Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. He was also an avid poker enthusiast who could play until the dawn.
Adolfo is survived by his wife, Esteves; his seven children Glenn, Amy, Julieta, Arleen, Adolfo Jr., Ruth and Karen and nine grandchildren, Katrina, Karl, Sarah, Kirsten, Rein, Maine, Alec, Kenshaun, and Angelica; his sons-in-law Jun, Glen, Arnold, Tristan, and daughters-in-law Shirley and Ruth. Wake and Funeral services will start at 1:00 pm on July 6, 2019 at the Palm Eastern Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada.
