Adrienne Diane Sobel

Her brother, Charles, lived with their parents in the first home on the Desert Inn Golf Course. Charlotte became pregnant with Adrienne but just before her birth their father passed away. After funeral services in Detroit for their father, Charlotte went to her parents in St. Louis where Adrienne was born.

She and her brother then spent their early years living with their grandparents, Mildred and Charles H. Bergmeier, in St. Louis, Missouri during the school year and at home with their mother in Las Vegas during the summers. They spent lots of time back stage in the showroom at the Sands Hotel where their mother was an original Copa Girl and found themselves in the company of the 'Rat Pack' and other celebrities.

Early on Adrienne studied art and oil painting and was a talented young artist. She studied dance and took French lessons. She was an accomplished equestrian and trained at Edna Gray's Ranch.

She eventually attended Vegas Verdes Elementary School, Cashman Jr. High, and graduated from Western High School. She ultimately attended UNLV getting her Bachelor’s degree in Education and started her career at Pat Diskin Elementary School. Later, she achieved her Master's degree in Education. She taught for 33+yrs. in the primary grades and was loved and appreciated by her students and their parents.

She married Jeff Sobel in 1978 at the Desert Inn Hotel. Their wedding was held and celebrated on the very grounds where her family had lived.

She was a devoted stepmother to Steve and Jennifer.

She traveled, often, with her Mother, with many visits to the LaCosta Spa and the Beverly Hills Hotel in California. They spent lots of time enjoying Las Vegas together.

She was very close with her family in California, especially Vicki York. She was visited, bedside, by her sweet family and friends, in her final days.

She is survived by her brother Charles Nort and his family of Las Vegas and Aunt Jane Manners and cousins of California.

Services will be held at Palm Mortuary Eastern on August 4, at 10:30a.m., followed by a graveside interment.
