He was born January 18, 1940, in Washington DC, our Nation’s Capital, to Parents Albert George Hall, Sr and Mattie CN Hall.
He enjoyed a long and varied career in the automobile trade starting as a Line Mechanic and progressing though most aspects of the business including Sales, General Management and Dealer Principal for over 40 years.
As a forester’s son, Albert grew up to appreciate and maintain a lifelong love of the outdoors, forests and wildlife. He was an active leader in Scouting and enjoyed conveying his firsthand knowledge to his own children, troop members and other adults.
Albert was a Staff Sergeant in the Washington DC National guard where he proudly served at the Inauguration of John F. Kennedy as well as other assignments in the tumultuous 1960s.
He was an avid gardener and was known for his amazing tomatoes in Virginia and splendid roses and lawn in Las Vegas. His neighbors were known to admire “Father Al’s” trees and flowers and come to him regularly for lawn care advice.
Albert was a proud and active member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints where he realized spiritual fulfillment and community. Albert enjoyed his tenure as Sunday school director. He admitted that often, as the teacher, he learned life lessons from the young students.
While living in Northern Virginia, Albert met his wife Margaret and relocated with her to establish a life in Las Vegas. They had a long and loving relationship, and he was devastated upon her passing earlier this Spring.
Albert is survived by his children John Hall and Ruth Brunelli (Tom); grandchildren Rebecca and Erin Hall and Alex, Matthew and Adele Brunelli; his stepdaughters Suzie, Stacy and Kim; and their children, Dustin, Matthew, Amanda, Billy and Shawn; as well as other nieces and nephews and his first wife Grace Hall.
He will be remembered fondly by all those how came to know and love him throughout his lifetime.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 28th at 10 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints (Cimarron Ward), located at 7401 W. Smoke Ranch Road, with Interment following at Palm Eastern Cemetery, located at 7600 S. Eastern Avenue
