Alfredo Alcantara Reyes

Alfredo was born on December 19, 1931 in San Nicolas, Batangas, Philippines to Julio and Dionisia Reyes. He was the youngest of 8 children. In 1962, Alfredo received his Bachelor of Science In Civil Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology in the Philippines.

After Graduating, Alfredo worked f8 or the Bureau of Public works in Manila, Philippines from 1953 to 1966, where he also met his beloved spouse Juanita. From 1967, he was employed with PAGE Communications Engineers in Vietnam, Iran, and Virginia as a civil engineer/data analyst. He continued his career in various engineering firms until he retired in 1982.

In 1967, Alfredo and his wife Juanita moved their children from the Philippines to Fairfax County in Virginia, where they lived for nearly 29 years. In 2004, Alfredo and his wife Juanita decided to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada to be closer to their children.

Alfredo was a resilient, independent, and intelligent man. A man of many talents and interests that included a passion for math, science, music, and illustration. Through and above these, he was devoted to and placed his faith in God.

He was preceded by his son Nazareth Reyes and wife Juanita Reyes.

He will forever be remembered and missed by his children, Joselito, Victoria, and Zebedee; daughters-in-law, Solly and Leijani; son-in-law Bill; grandchildren, Rachel, Lyn, Monica, Jasmine, Jelani, and Devin; and caring nephews and nieces; relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Palm Mortuary Chapel.
