
army during WWII where his family escaped to Germany, then immigrated
to the United States, settling in Omaha, Nebraska in 1950. He
graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Civil
Engineering and later earned a Masters Degree in Soil Engineering from
Cal State Long Beach.
He was a Las Vegas resident for 41 years. He was the former CEO of
Converse Consultants, former president of the Consulting Engineering
Counsel, member of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, and
awarded Engineer of the Year in 1988. He died peacefully at home and
is survived by his wife of 50 years Aldona Leskys, son Arunas Leskys
and daughter Alexa Rhyan and her husband Sean Rhyan and their son,
Henry Rhyan.
