Alice, daughter to the late Bernard and Bertha Scriven, was born April 26, 1945 in Douglas, WY. Her family later moved to Idaho Falls, ID where she met her best friend for life, Dusty (Rhodes) Dickens. Alice graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1963. She completed a business degree from Stevens-Henger School of Business in Salt Lake City, UT and right out of school started working at the Clark County School District (CCSD) in Las Vegas, NV. She was married to Tony Moran from 1966 – 1977. They had two beautiful daughters, Tonya and Wendy.
In the early 90’s, while at her bowling league, she met Steve Favella and fell in love. They were married in Las Vegas, NV on October 2, 1999. They lived in Henderson, NV where Alice resided until her death.
Alice started her career at CCSD in 1964. She worked in Personnel, and later moved to the Operations Department and eventually became the Director of Operations. Alice had a positive impact on many people throughout her life. Countless were helped by Alice providing assistance with jobs and promotions over her 35 years with CCSD. She was a loving and generous lady to all who met her. She always took the time to help others and was selfless with both her heart and spirit.
Alice was a people person, an avid book reader, and loved playing games with her family. She had a strong faith in God and her family and friends loved her very much. She was a second mom and best friend to many and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents and her cherished brother Bernard Scriven. She is survived by her beloved husband, Steve Favella; her daughter, Tonya Dazzio and son-in-law Tony Dazzio; her daughter Wendy Moran; her granddaughters Sammy Dazzio and Serena Dazzio; her sister-in-law Lynne Scriven; and her stepson Ryan Favella, his wife Rachel and their two sons Joe and Tom.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89123.
