It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved Alice Karacostas, who left this world peacefully at the remarkable age of 94 on November 5th, 2025, with her family by her side.
Alice was the devoted and cherished wife of the late Costa Karacostas, and together they shared a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and family. She was the proud and loving mother of Becky and Jim, and the adored “Yiayia mou” to her six grandchildren: Jamie, Alison, Diana, Nicky, Alexa, and Lenna. Her joy only grew as she became Super Yiayia to six great-grandchildren: Alex, Charli, Mikey, Cat, Livy, and Zev, each of whom brought her endless happiness and pride.
Alice was a force of nature: strong, witty, and endlessly funny. Her quick humor and razor-sharp sarcasm could make anyone laugh, and her radiant smile could light up even the darkest room. She had an effortless sense of style, a contagious laugh, and a spirit that made everyone feel welcome and loved.
A passionate sports fan, Alice was known to yell at the TV with unmatched enthusiasm, cheering (and sometimes scolding) her teams as if they could hear her through the screen. Her fiery love for the game mirrored her love for life. full of energy, passion, and heart.
Alice’s presence was pure sunshine. She embodied grace, resilience, and warmth, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her family and all who were lucky enough to know her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched.
Alice will be taken home and laid to rest next to her beloved Costa at Palm Cemetery in Las Vegas. We will gather there to celebrate Alice’s extraordinary life and the joy she brought to so many.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you honor Alice’s memory by sharing laughter, showing kindness, and cherishing the time you have with those you love, just as she always did.
