Amelia Geraldine Virag

Amelia Geraldine Virag, (Nee Revello) age 95, passed away peacefully August 23, 2023. She was born October 14, 1927, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, and raised in Newark and Belleville, New Jersey, before moving to Hollywood, Florida. She has spent the last 35 years retired in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerard and Maisie Revello (nee Celfo), two sisters, Marie and Eleanor, three brothers, Domenick, Richard, and Bennie, two nieces, Mary Ellen and Amelia, one nephew and godson, Michael, and her loving husband of over 30 years, Donald Virag. She is survived by two sister-in-laws, Estelle and Rita, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews that she loved like her own children. They will miss her dearly. She was blessed with many friends, too numerous to name. Amelia had a colorful personality and left a memorable impression on everyone she met. Emily, as she was known by her loved ones, was a devoted Christian and was very involved with her church. She enjoyed playing poker and traveling with her husband in her earlier days.

A visitation for Amelia will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:20 PM to 1:50 PM at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
