Angelo J Farruggia was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Angelo will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Angelo was born on February 22, 1999 at St. Rose Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. He was the son of Anthony and Alesha Farruggia. Angelo grew up in Athens, Illinois and Pahrump, Nevada. He was raised with one older brother, Anthony Jr., and two younger sisters, Ashlee and Avery. Angelo was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. They experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young boy, Angelo had a number of interests. Like most children, he enjoyed playing and making up games. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. Angelo was an active child who took part in football, baseball, wrestling and track. Angelo’s greatest passion was his love for riding on anything that could move, such as BMX bikes and dirt bikes. He also seemed to enjoy breaking his brother's and dad's things. However, to Angelo, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends.
A typical teenager, Angelo had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Pahrump Valley and Pathways in 2017. His favorite class in high school was PE and he was a frequent visitor to the Principal's office. Always considered a good friend to those he knew, Angelo enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during his lifetime. While growing up, he had many friends in Illinois and some of his best friends were Eric and Jay. Later in life, he became friends with Trent, Jon Jon and many others throughout Pahrump.
Angelo was always sensitive to other people’s feelings, and that was especially true in his relationship with his girlfriend, Jessica Gray. They had created a partnership based on love and respect for each other. Angelo and Jessica had recently moved in together and had begun planning a future together.
Fortunately, Angelo enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Angelo worked diligently and did his best to succeed as an iron worker apprentice. Angelo always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Angelo enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were riding dirt bikes, playing Xbox and listening to loud trucks. Angelo was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so. Tops on his list were motocross racing and MMA. Throughout his life, Angelo was a doer and an active member of the WORCS Racing team.
Angelo was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. Some of his favorites were Buster, a Labrador Retriever dog and Demon, a German Shepherd dog. He was best friends with Buster for 10 years and Demon 1 year.
Angelo passed away on October 7, 2018 at Mesquite Nevada Motocross Track, after suffering a dirt bike accident. He is survived by parents Anthony and Alesha, older brother, Anthony Jr., younger sisters, Ashlee and Avery and many extended family. Services were held at Palm Southwest Mortuary.
Simply stated, Angelo was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Angelo leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Angelo J Farruggia.
