Anita was born December 1, 1956 to Robert Emerson Van Sickle and Evelyn Jewel Van Sickle in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the second daughter of a family of three girls.
Anita married John Hershberger on September 22, 1984 in Louisville, Kentucky and they had a daughter Allison Hershberger in 1987.
Anita, John and Allison moved from Indiana to Las Vegas, Nevada in August of 1992. Anita was the world's greatest mother and dedicated her life to being a mother to her daughter and a loving wife to her husband. She helped her husband establish their structural steel fabrication and erection business in 1997 and maintained it it every day. She always cared about each and every employee and made sure to make each one feel appreciated. Anita touched everyone she encounter's life and made them feel welcome, appreciated and invited by her sweet, kind and loving spirit.
Anita, John and Allison joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and were sealed for time and eternity as a family in the Las Vegas, Nevada Temple on September 22, 2005.
She loved to entertain, cook, travel and be with her family. Anita was the most loving, caring, supportive and nurturing person. She would do anything for anyone and loved to help charities for children and animals, they were her two weaknesses.
She is survived by her husband, John; her daughter, Allison; her german shepherd Zoe; her sisters Elaine (Jeff) and Roberta (Joe); many nephews and nieces.
She will be missed forever by everyone that met her and life she touched.
It is the intent to setup a Scholarship for Construction Management at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah in Anita's name and honor.
