Anna Scharadin, age 71, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Born on April 26, 1947, a daughter to George and Anna (Hanes) Studlack, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Anna was the youngest of nine children in the coal mining family.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Francis “Frank” Scharadin; their two children, Tammy (Van) Garrison and Frank, Jr. (fiancé Ada Guerrero-Chapin); granddaughters, Ashlee and Amanda Garrison; sisters, Joann Brinich, Gerri (Leo) Viola, Sonia (James) Meade; brother, David (Georgene) Studlack; sisters-in-law, Ann Marie Studlack and Arlene Studlack; numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers, George Jr., Ralph, Stephen and Andrew Studlack; brother-in-law, Ralph Brinich.
While following her husband, Frank, for 20 years as an Air Force spouse, Anna had several careers throughout her life. She was a 32 year resident of Henderson. Having spent several decades as a bank teller and a loan officer, she retired from Nevada Federal Credit Union in 1993.
An avid bowler for over 20 years, Anna was on bowling leagues at Sam’s Town, Sunset Lanes and Strike Zone. She was the league secretary and treasurer for several years on the Tuesday and Wednesday Senior Leagues at Strike Zone. Anna also enjoyed spending time sewing and doing crafts. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially, her two granddaughters. They are her Sunshines.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 19, at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson, 89052. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Mass starting at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will take place at Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Reverend John Assalone and Reverend Vicente Panaligan will officiate.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anna, be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Building Pledge. Funds will go towards the building of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School on the church grounds.
