

She was born on March 2, 1924 to Anna (Demkovich) and Andrew Kovach in Whiting, Indiana, and was a 25-year resident of Henderson, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jurbala; granddaughter, Deanna Dreesen; son-in-law, Jimmie Lopez; and brothers, Emil Kovach and John Kovach.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Jurbala) Dreesen and Beth (Jurbala) Lopez; son, Thomas (Mali) Jurbala; granddaughters, Haley and Emily Jurbala, all of Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was a graduate of Whiting High School Class of “42”. She worked at Standard Oil Company, but enjoyed waitressing at Vogel’s, Al Knapp’s, and Rupcich’s Restaurants in Indiana much more than sitting behind a desk.
Anne was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Henderson, Nevada, Branch 81 First Catholic Slovak Ladies’ Association, and the Daughters’ of Isabella of Whiting, Indiana.
Anne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was loved dearly by all those who knew her. She was an amazing and strong woman, with a deep faith in God. She always had a sweet smile on her face, and you just wanted to hug her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue. Services will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos in Henderson. Interment will be at St. Johns/St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana, with a graveside memorial on Saturday, January 6, 2018.
