He was the eighth of eleven children. Tony, as he was fondly called by family, relatives and friends, was raised in Baguio but after World War II, the family moved and settled in Cavite, Philippines.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from De La Salle University. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant for the reputable accounting firm of SyCip, Gorres & Velayo in Manila. He was hired by Operation Brotherhood International to work as a fiscal supply officer in Vientiane, Laos where he met his would-be wife, Fenny Terciano.
Tony moved to America and finished his MBA at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California. He obtained another master’s degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, CA. He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad and AMFAC as a traveling auditor. He later moved to Bank of America Corporate Headquarters as an assistant tax manager.
Tony loved to socialize with family and friends and enjoyed watching his large collection of movies.
After retirement, he and his wife moved to the Philippines to enjoy their golden years. Tony was an active eucharistic minister in their Sto. Nino de Paz Greenbelt chapel for over a decade. In August 2019, they moved back to the USA and eventually settled in Las Vegas in January 2020.
Tony was married to Rufinita “Fenny” Terciano for 52 years. They have two children, Arvin, married to Poly Vela and Corazon, married to Mark Chau. They have four grandchildren, Olivia and Amelia Victa, and Aaron and Dylan Chau.
Tony passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021, after bravely battling multiple medical conditions during his last hospitalization. His passing was just ten days after his 86th birthday and five days after his 52nd wedding anniversary.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband and father, a doting grandfather, and a most generous and kind man to a multitude of persons whose life he has touched.
