Armen was born on July 19, 1960, in Yerevan, Armenia. A quiet and introspective man, Armen carried a strength and dignity that touched everyone who knew him. He earned a degree in architecture, but his true passion was found behind the wheel as a dedicated and proud taxi driver, a profession he loved until his final days.
In his younger years, Armen enjoyed racing cars in the Soviet Union and held a lifelong love for antique cars. He also had a deep appreciation for the game of poker, often spending hours immersed in strategy and reflection. His daily comforts were simple but dear to him: a good piece of chocolate and his black tea sweetened with honey.
Though serious in nature, Armen had a beautiful smile that lit up the room when it appeared. And when he laughed everyone felt it. We will never forget his sense of humor and the sound of his laughter so full, so ringing, so alive.
Armen had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and found peace and companionship in their presence. He was also a remarkably forgiving soul quietly choosing grace over judgment, even when life gave him reasons to be bitter. He lived a humble life rooted in hard work, compassion, and quiet pride, finding joy in his passions and in the people he loved.
He is survived by his son, Gor Mnatsakanyan, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Mnatsakanyan, and his son Alen Grigoryan, along with many friends who will miss him deeply.
He was a proud grandfather to Eric Grant, Karine, and Sofya, and also lovingly embraced Julissa Marie and Cristopher Jacob, who brought their own special light into his life.
Armen was preceded in death by his beloved son, Hayk Mnatsakanyan, whose memory remained forever close to his heart.
