Barry Jay Waxberg

Barry lived a life defined by integrity, kindness, generosity, and devotion to those he loved. He will be remembered for his warm heart, quick sense of humor, unwavering loyalty, and genuine concern for family and friends. His quiet acts of kindness and giving nature touched many lives and will never be forgotten.

Barry is survived by his beloved son, Michael Aaron, of whom he was immensely proud, and by his cherished grandchildren, Peyton, Jacob, and Ethan, who brought him tremendous joy. He also leaves behind three devoted nephews, Adam, Scott, and Alexander Warren, and his beloved niece, Jill Roberts, all of whom loved him dearly.

He is also survived by his older brother, Herbert David, 82, and sister-in-law, Agnes, with whom he shared an exceptionally close and loving relationship. The two brothers spoke by telephone every day, always looking after one another and sharing a lifelong bond that was as close as any two brothers could ever hope to have.

Professionally, Barry enjoyed a distinguished career as an accomplished gemologist before retiring. Earlier in life, he owned an upscale men’s clothing store in Beverly Hills, California, where his professionalism and impeccable taste earned him the respect of clients and colleagues alike.

Barry’s interests and talents were many. He was an accomplished photographer, an excellent marksman, and served with dedication as a volunteer armed security officer at his house of worship, where he became a close personal friend of his rabbi. He was also a talented saxophonist whose musical abilities led him to perform at the World’s Fair in New York.

Above all else, Barry treasured the people in his life. He found joy in family, friendship, and service to others, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength. Those fortunate enough to know him will remember him not only for what he accomplished, but for the warmth of his smile, the generosity of his spirit, and the kindness he extended to everyone around him.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, Nevada 89120.

Barry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

May his memory be for a blessing.
