

Betty June Magne, 82, went to be with her Lord Thursday, June 28, 2012. She was born June 11, 1930 in South Dakota. Betty has resided in Las Vegas for the past 10 years with her loving husband and hero, Lou. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Glen "Curly" Nolt; her daughter, Lisa; and son, Michael. She is survived by her husband, Lou; her brother, Gary Nolt; sister, Donna Jeanne Collings; children, Jorja, Tana, Donna and Debbie. Betty had eight grandchildren, Missy, Betsy, Tommy, Lauran, Stacy, Austin, Morgan and Nicholas. Additionally, she had eight great-grandchildren, Zoe, Rachel, Sarah, Nathan, Joshua, Patrica, Aaron, and Amber; and a godson, Mark. During her life, Betty was a successful businesswoman and had a passion for politics, including working with the Hillary Clinton campaign. In her later years, Betty was best known as a "domestic goddess" to her family and friends, always maintaining a welcoming and loving home. Betty loved traveling throughout the world, where she met the Wohlfarth family and gained two more "grandchildren", Barbara and Dorthea, and one more great-grandchild, Julia. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services, conducted by her son-in-law, Pastor Thomas Stastny, will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Betty was truly loved and admired by her family. Her passing has left a large void in all our lives.
