Betty Jean Redmond, 69, a retired hotel inspectress, of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 14, 2011. She was born June 30, 1942, in Hope, Ark., and was a resident of Nevada for over 45 years. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Redmond; daughters, Alice Petihomme and Deborah Redmond; and sister, Ruth Sullivan. Betty is survived by her sons, David (Lupita) Redmond, Barry (Tara) Redmond, Jonathan (Lisa) Redmond and Oscar Redmond; sisters, Shirley Cheatum, Mamie Blythe, Nancy Jones, Gloria Bourgeios, Dorothy McFadden and Eula Woodberry; brothers, Reppy Woodberry and Oscar Woodberry; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
