It is with great sadness that our family mourns the passing of Bradley Thomas Baciak, born in Parma, Ohio to Edward Baciak, and Marie (Sanfilippo) Baciak, on October 21, 1983. He would go on to enjoy many things throughout his lifetime: baseball, hockey, gaming, Disneyland, and skiing in Steamboat Springs & Mammoth. He especially enjoyed summers in Ohio with family and swimming in his grandparent's pool with all of his cousins.
One of the fondest memories of Bradley was being a bat boy for the minor league baseball team the Stars here in Las Vegas. The team is now known as Las Vegas Aviators.
At the age of fourteen (14) years old, Bradley was diagnosed with diabetes. Although this was a difficult diagnosis for a young teen boy, Bradley continued to participate on the swim team and play baseball. Bradley shared a love for the Cleveland Indians with his entire family. Playing & competing in MAGIC tournaments was one of his favorite pastimes. He collected everything from ninja turtle figures to Pokemon, and baseball cards. He enjoyed taking a trip to Hawaii with a group of his friends.
Bradley graduated from Foothill High School and would later attend the University of Nevada at Reno, graduating with a degree in Chemistry.
In the last ten (10) years, Bradley experienced major medical complications because of his earlier diagnosis of diabetes. He fought a long, hard complicated battle.
Although there were strained relationships between Bradley, his father Edward, and his sisters, Corinna and Allie, for too many years to count, there was never a loss of love for him.
Bradley is survived by his father, Edward and wife, Deborah Baciak, sisters Alexandrea and Corinna Baciak, his mother, Marie Baciak, his half-sister, Imara Collins, his grandfather, Gino Sanfilippo, his uncles Eric Baciak, and Joseph Sanfilippo, aunts, Lisa Schoch, Carla McElligott, Andrea (Sanfilippo) Florjancic, Gia Sanfilippo-Snuffer, Cara Sanfilippo, and a plethora of cousins. He is predeceased by grandparents, Margaret (Allgower) Baciak and Allen Baciak, and grandmother, Beverly (Szabo) Sanfilippo.
There will be separate services/memorials held by each of Bradley’s parents with notification to family and friends upon those arrangements and as they become available.
The family encourages donations to the American Diabetes Foundation or any animal rescue of your choice on Bradley’s behalf.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmeastern.com for the Baciak family.
