Brandi Layne Baker

Brandi Layne Baker, 43, of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017. She was born June 16, 1973, to Debbey Cope and David Baker. Brandi is survived by her parents; her bonus parents, Jerry, Cathy, and Fred; her son, Shayne; granddaughter, Stella; brother, Kit (Lacee) Cope; sister, Stacey (Abby) Abernathy; nieces Sophia and Madison; grandmother, Daveleen; step-sister Sharmane (Eugene) and family; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brandi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cletus Baker, Shirley and Rex Sneed, and J.B. Neely.

Brandi was a very generous, loving soul, and had numerous friends whom she considered family.

Brandi was in the medical field as a massage therapist, and later as a medical assistant. Along with her great joy of being a mom and grandmother, her passion was helping abused and homeless dogs, and she helped create a Pit Bull Rescue in Las Vegas. Her constant companion for the past 8 years has been Maggie, who misses Brandi very much.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Palm Mortuary Chapel, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue (and Robindale), Las Vegas.
