Besides working for & with my own father, Mr. Cohen was the finest & kindness man I have ever worked for & with. He was the CEO of the Desert Inn hotel. I was the Head Electric stagehand in the Crystal showroom when he offered me the Stage Manager position there. What an honor to know & work for such a gentleman.  He was a true friend  & terrific role model & leader for those who were his employees.

My thoughts & prayers go out to Linda & family. Mr. Cohen touched the hearts & souls of everyone he knew and even those he didn't know. I had the distinct honor of working for Mr. Cohen at the Desert Inn for many years. The memories are countless but one thing that always amazed me and still does to this day is how he literally knew each and every employee by name and as busy as he was, Mr. Cohen made his rounds to every department each & every day to say "Hi" and ask how everyone was. All of here at Tracinda truly loved "Robert Redford", (his favorite aka).
He was a huge part of our family. We will miss him at every fight and every board meeting.
There is just no replacement for a man like him. We will think of him often and hope for the best for you, too.

It is hard to say we have lost Burton as Burton left a piece of himself with everyone he met.  I know of no one that met Burton that does not have a fond memory, quip or story about their time with him.  Though he did it with humor he shared pearls of wisdom and did it with genuine concern to leave everyone dealt with either wiser or better off.  There are not enough words for me to express my memories and fondness with and of Burton, but there is not a day that passes that something I learned from him does not find its way into my day. Linda, my condolences and deepest sympathy for you and your family.  Burton was a mentor and dear friend. His leadership and friendship were only part of his remarkable skillset.  I will be forever grateful for his kindness these many years and will miss him.

Burton. one on the last of a breed of OPERATORS, as opposed to corporate officers. I will always remember the respect I had for you, your decision making personality and wonderful sense of humor. Las Vegas has changed and continues downhill by the passing of wonderful people like you.

Remember those days on Coronado Beach. Burton was a visionary, a Las vegas icon and a real mensch.  Linda-my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

With the loss of Mr. Cohen, it can truthfully be said that Las Vegas is at the end of an era. I have worked for many Hotel and casino people in my 50 plus years here, and he was the best. A handshake deal with him was worth far more than a multi-page contract today. I am grateful to have many memories of him, a credit to his industry, also possessing a great sense of humor. I don't think they make 'em like that anymore. R.I.P.

Burton was a leader and a legend in the gaming industry.  He played a significant role in the growth and success of Las Vegas. He was a wonderful gentleman and will be missed

It was truly an honor to know you a bit over the past few years. You will be surely missed at Bagelmania...by your regular breakfast gang, for sure, but mostly by your fine feathered friends...the pigeons you regularly fed and spent a few minutes with.
