Carmen was born on August 24, 1935 to Mary Smith and Alexander Anderson. She married Richard Monroe in 1955. From this union, 10 years, she had two children, Kim and Richard Monroe. In 1968, she married Emele V. Bee and was married for 17 years until his passing. In 1985, she married Billy Jones and that union lasted for 10 years.
After graduating from high school, her first job was a telephone operator; she later started a job in banking which became her life-long career. Carmen worked in banking for over 20 years progressing from bank teller to operations officer and then became a branch manager. Over these years she received several certificates. As a career shift, she became a real estate agent for Century 21 for 10 years.
When Carmen retired from real estate, she moved to Las Vegas in 1992. As a retiree she loved home decorations, was an avid reader of romance novels, playing cards, being with her friends and going to the casino, buffets and movies. She was completely devoted to both of her children and grandchildren.
All her life, Carmen was the rock of the family, the person everybody went to with their problems and concerns. She was always willing to help, giving great advice and a loving hand.
Carmen was a glamorous woman, but she was even more beautiful on the inside. She never realized the great affect she had on people and how her influence will be missed. She was a very humble woman, which make all the ingredients of a star.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim, and son, Richard; grandchildren Kimberly and Ashley; sisters Audrey and Guelda; nieces Cheryl and Pascale; and nephews Lance, Andrew and Alex.
She will be truly missed.
Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
