In 1950, she married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" "Cookie" Cook in Trenton, later moving to Hamilton Square. They have one daughter, Debra "Deb".
Over the years in NJ, Carrie worked as a dental assistant, orthodontist assistant and as an office manager in an optician's office.
She and Bob enjoyed their free time at the Jersey Shore surf fishing with friends and family. She also took up the game of golf, which she was quite good at and gave Bob a run for his money. Carrie was a member of the Nottingham Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for many years. In 1993, they decided to move to Las Vegas where Deb was living. Carrie really enjoyed going to the casinos and playing the poker machines.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Bob. She is survived by her daughter, Deb, sister, Judy and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on September 16, 2023 in Las Vegas. Carrie will be missed by many friends. She will be forever together again with Bob at the Boulder City, NV Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 University Center Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
