Born in Paoay, Philippines on November 5, 1961. Carolyn attended MMSU in Paoay and enjoyed hanging out with friends. Joseph Wilson (her future husband) took a chance and flew to Paoay to meet Carolyn and decided she was the one. The two married in April 1981 however, Carolyn and Joseph had to wait for her to be approved to come to the states. Finally, in June of 1982 is when Carolyn arrived in Hawaii to be with her husband and start her new life. On March 18, 1983, Joseph and Carolyn welcome their only child together, Angielyn.
During her years in Hawaii, she created a lot of lifelong friendships and became close with many relatives already living in Hawaii. Carolyn and her husband started to petition her parents, Severino and Irene Oallesma to make their way to Hawaii. Next, Carolyn got her sisters and her brothers to become citizens.
Carolyn’s first job was as a florist and a few years later she started working for Turtle Bay Hilton in Kahuku, for the next 30 years. She enjoyed being a housekeeper for the hotel and was very proud of her job. Carolyn and her husband made the decision to sell their home in Wahiawa and finally move to Las Vegas, Nevada, after making a decision to retire. In March 2016 they officially became residents of Las Vegas. That same year they purchased a home and were ready to enjoy retirement and explore the United States.
Unfortunately, her husband Joseph Wilson passed away on May 2nd, 2017. Leaving Carolyn and her daughter to grieve his passing.
However, at that time Carolyn did continue to see friends that would visit Las Vegas. She also was the primary caretaker of her mother, Irene. Carolyn deeply missed her husband and would often go to his gravesite to visit him.
Carolyn Wilson was a simple woman who was humble and generous with her family. She had a loving heart and cared for her family deeply. Enjoying FaceTime with friends and family, watching TV, going to bargain stores, and checking up on her daughter every chance she could. My mom, your aunty, sister, daughter, and friend will be highly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Angielyn Wilson.
Rest in Love and Peace.
