Catherine West

Catherine accepted the Lord Jesus Christ when she was a child. She joined St. James Baptist Church once she and her husband Robert West (who preceded her in death) moved to Las Vegas, NV, 1965.

She enjoyed socializing, entertaining, music and traveling. Catherine’s hobbies were sewing, dancing, and visiting the many parks and mountains' in Las Vegas. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every day of her life. Catherine was blessed to have lived 99 years, she enjoyed her life and the people that crossed her path.

She leaves to cherish her memories Larry & Delterica Woolen, LaToya Smith and (grandchildren), Las Vegas, NV.

Cousins: Bertha Nelson-Marsh, Richard Nelson, Corrie Holmes-Nelson and Judy Nelson (Montgomery, AL), Josephine Walker (Atlanta, GA), Lisa Johnson (Smyrna, GA), Dwight Johnson (Detroit, MI) & many more Nelson nieces, cousin’s and family members.

She also leaves to cherish her memory, a loving nephew Eddie Floyd, nieces: Juanita Floyd, Mashellda Moore, Montgomery, AL;

Gail Harris, Fayetteville, NC. Loving and devoted friend, Peggy Gilmore and Theodore & Mary Keys, Las Vegas, NV. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

(Memorial/Funeral) services will be performed at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave on (29 August 2014) at (Services 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. ).
