Charles Zamito, 61, born and raised in the Las Vegas area, went to heaven to be with our Heavenly Father on July 23, 2021 at the Zamito residence where he bravely fought his long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
He was born on August 18, 1959 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Semour (Mike) Zamito and Eiatta Ladora Files. His loving grandmother Edythe Bryer Zamito raised Charles. He met his soulmate and partner for life at the age of 17 and later married Ginger Procicina. Together they had two children Nichole and Jason Zamito.
Charles was a member of Teamsters 631, where he worked endlessly to provide a good home for his loving family. He worked as a lead man and tractor-trailer driver for conventions in the Las Vegas area. He was forced to retire due to his health at the young age of 45.
Many loved Charles. He had a contagious smile and laugh, and he loved socializing. He loved food, sweets and good company. He was strong willed and he never gave up.
His parents Semour and Eiatta Zamito and grandmother Edythe Bryer Zamito preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Ginger; daughter Nichole Goodman; son-in-law Aaron Goodman; son Jason Zamito; daughter-in-law Rachael Zamito; his pride and joy grandchildren Hailey Goodman, Elias Goodman, Jeremiah Goodman, Dominic Zamito, and Jaxn Zamito; siblings Shara Zamito and Diane Polson; nephew Sam Polson; niece Jennifer Zamito; cousins Michelle Zamito and the Rick Zamito family; and many great-nieces and nephews, all of whom brought great joy to his life.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 4:30pm – 8:30pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 2:00pm. All services will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.
