
Charles "Chuck" Zimny, 68, of Henderson, passed away June 26, 2011. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired transportation manager from Metrolink/Amtrak. Chuck was born Jan. 7, 1943, in Minneapolis, and was a six-year resident of Nevada. Chuck is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Gloria; and his two sons, Brian Charles Zimny and his wife, Heather of Albuquerque, N.M., and Bradley Alan Zimny and his wife, Brenda of Blackstone, Va. He enjoyed four wonderful grandchildren, Hayley and Kyle of Albuquerque, and Jason and Kasey of Virginia. Charles leaves his sister, Ellen Whitley and her husband, Marquis of Bridgeport, Texas; and two nieces, Angie Whitley of Fort Worth, Texas, and Julie Whitley of Richardson, Texas; as well as two nephews, Derek Crane of Odenton, Md., and Dwight Crane of Colorado Springs, Colo. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, NV 89074. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of choice in his honor.
