Chen Tung was born on February 12th, 1936 in Garut, Indonesia to Huang Siu Chang and Chen Mei Lee. He married his sweetheart, Nancy Chang, on Mother’s Day, 1966 and was married for 52 loving years.
He left Indonesia to pursue a better life for his family and received his medical training at The National Defense Medical Center of Taiwan. He then left Taiwan for the United States and went on to become one of the most respected and admired physicians that the South Jersey area had ever seen. His dedication and deep care for his family extended to his patients as well. After a successful 20 year medical practice in Atlantic City, he retired and moved to Las Vegas in 1998. Having the opportunity to reconnect there with old friends and make many new ones, Chen Tung enjoyed 20 more years of wonderful happiness in his retirement.
He loved fishing and singing and had a strong, charismatic personality. When Dr. Chen T. Chang set his mind to do something, nothing could stop him from achieving his mission. His inner strength was matched only by his warm heart.
Chen Tung is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his dedicated sons Billy, David and Brian, and his beautiful grandchildren, Aubrey, Madison and Peyton. He will be missed, admired and loved by all those blessed to have known him.
